Interview

An office manager was given the task of hiring an
Individual to fill a job opening. After sorting through a
stack of resumes he found four people who were equally
qualified. He decided to call the four in and ask them only
one question. Their answer would determine which of them
would get the job. The day came and as the four sat around
the conference room table the interviewer asked:

"What is the fastest thing you know of?"

Acknowledging the first man (Kiwi), on his right, the
man replied,"A THOUGHT. It just pops into your head.
There's no warning that it's on the way; it's just there. A
thought is the fastest thing I know of."
"That's very good!" replied the interviewer.

"And now you sir?" he asked the second man (Aussie).
"Hmm....let me see. A blink! It comes and goes and you
don't know that it ever happened. A BLINK is the fastest
thing I know of."
"Excellent!" said the interviewer. "The blink of an eye ...
that's a very popular cliche? for speed."

He then turned to the third man (South African) who was
contemplating his reply."Well, out at my dad's FARM, you
step out of the house and on the wall there's a light
switch. When you flip that switch & way out across the
pasture the light in the barn comes on in less than an ant.
TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think
of. "The interviewer was very impressed with the third
answer and thought he had found his man. "It's hard to beat
the speed of light" He said.

Turning to the fourth and final man (Samoan), the
interviewer posed the same question.
It's obvious to me that the fastest thing known is
DIARRHEA."
"WHAT!?" said the interviewer, stunned by the response.
"Oh I can explain." said the fourth man.
"You see the other day I wasn't feeling so good and I ran
for the bathroom.
But, before I could THINK, BLINK, or TURN ON THE LIGHT , I
had already shat my pants!"

HE GOT THE JOB................

Young Boy

One day there were two boys playing by a stream. One of the young boys saw a bush and went over to it and the other boy couldn't figure out why his friend was at the bush so long.
The other boy went over to the bush and looked.
The two boys were looking at a woman bathing naked in the steam. All of a sudden the second boy took off running. The first boy couldn't understand why he ran away so he took off after his friend. Finally he caught up to him and asked why he ran away.
The boy said to his friend,' My mom told me if I ever saw a naked lady I would turn to stone, and I felt something getting hard so I ran.'

3 Nuns

Three nuns decided to quit so they went to the Mother Superior and said, "We don't want to be nuns anymore, how do we quit?" The mother told them, "Do something unholy and come back here in 24 hours." So the nuns left thinking, "What can I do that's unholy?"

The next day they went to the mother one at a time. The mother said tot he first nun, "What unholy thing did you do?" and the nun said "I stole a kid's bike." The mother said, "I guess that will do, go drink some holy water. When the nun did she wasn't a nun anymore and she left the convent.

The second nun walked in and the mother said, "What unholy thing did you do?" The nun replied, "I slept with a married man!" The mother said, "Well, that's sinning. Go drink holy water."

The third nun walked in and the mother said, "What unholy thing did you do?" The third nun said proudly, "I pissed in the holy water!"

Doctor

a doctor was introducing autopsy to a fresh batch of medcine students in an operating theater with a real dead body. they formed a circle around the dead body.
the doctor said to the students "the first thing you need to study medicine is to conquer your fear". he then suddenly inserted his finger up the dead body's arse, pulled it out and licked his finger. much to the disbelief of the students. then he pointed at one student and ordered him with authority to do the same. the student reluctantly but quickly followed suit.
the doctor then said to the students "the second thing you need is to be very observant. notice that i inserted my index finger but licked middle finger". the student fainted.

Bar

In a Bar, as a man was having a drink, a guy, apparently already with his load, approached him and said, "Would you bet a pint of beer that I can bite my own left eye?"
Thinking that this guy was really drunk, the first man agreed.
Then the supposed drunk guy took off his false left eye and bit it. The first man thought: "How could I let this guy to fool me?"
But a bet is a bet, so he bought the drunk guy a pint of beer and continued his drinking.
A few moments later, the same drunk guy approached the first man and said, "Would you bet a pint of beer that I can bite my own right eye?"
He thought to himself: Hey, this guy can't have both false eyes, right? So he accepted the bet. Then the drunk guy took out his false teeth and bit his right eye with them.

Lucky Frog

Lucky frog

A man takes the day off work and decides to go out golfing. He is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next to the green. He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears,"Ribbit. 9 Iron" The man looks around and doesn't see anyone. "Ribbit. 9 Iron." He looks at the frog

and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts his other club away, and grabs a 9 iron. Boom! He hits it 10 inches from the cup. He is shocked.
He says to the frog, "Wow, that's amazing. You must be a lucky frog, eh?"

The frog reply's "Ribbit. Lucky frog." The man decides

to take the frog with him to the next hole. "What do you think frog?"
the man asks. "Ribbit. 3 Wood." The guy takes out a 3 Wood and Boom!
Hole in one. The man is befuddled and doesn't know what to say. By the end of the day, the man golfed the best game of golf in his life and asks the frog,"OK, where to next?" The frog replied, "Ribbit. Las Vegas." They go to Las Vegas and the guy says, "OK frog, now what?" The frog

says,"Ribbit Roulette." Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks," What do you think I should bet?" The frog replies, "Ribbit.
$3000, black 6." Now, this is a million-to-one shot to win, but after the golf game, the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table. The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel. He sits the frog down and says, "Frog, I don't

know how to repay you. You've won me all this money and I am forever grateful."

The frog replies, "Ribbit, Kiss Me." He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him he deserves it. With a kiss, the frog turns into a gorgeous 15-year-old girl.

"And that, your honor, is how the girl ended up in my room."

This is what my friend says about Torries..!

Reasons to dislike the tories

The self serving interests of the upper classes that focus on London and the south east to the cost of the rest of the country.

Happily sacrificing employment in the north and Scotland to keep interest rates down.

They are bigoted, blinkered, nimby (not in my backyard) snobs and money whores who care only about their own kind – i.e. the south east middle classes, white or appeal to the northern working class racist who reads the Sun and the mail. And mad old ladies too who hate gays, the poor, the Irish, foreigners and blacks.

They represent everything that is wrong with the England of yesteryear – they think unemployment is a result of people being lazy. Their leader is a cheese faced, Eton & Oxbridge educated ponce who hides Victorian tendencies and values (of which they are proud) behind a thin veil of Blairite spin and publicity.

They have destroyed Britain’s greatest 20th Century achievement – the NHS and have reopened the north/south & class divide that seemed to have been closed in the 60s.

The destruction of national industries (including the emasculation of the unions) to allow private investment and foreign companies – this made a lot of money for very few people. They considered it to be worth it as the profit garnered outweighed the benefits paid to the unemployed, on paper that is. However, entire areas (e.g. Sunderland, Sheffield) lost the industry around which their entire towns had been built. But alas, as Thatcher said herself – “There is no such thing as society” (1987 conference I believe).

As long as they are fine in their Home county paradise, playing golf, with their private health care the rest of the country can go swivel.

Yes Labour went to Iraq (with much protest from the true left wing), but they went as part of a political deal with America. The tories would have gone as they think ‘that dirty Johnny foreigner needs taught a lesson, what-o’

I hate them with a passion.

Khutbah Rasulullah s.a.w. Menjelang Ramadhan

Selain memerintah shaum, dalam menyambut menjelang bulan Ramadhan,
Rasulullah s.a.w. selalu memberikan beberapa nasihat dan pesanan.
Inilah
pesan Nabi s.a.w. tatkala memasuki Ramadhan.

Wahai manusia!

kamu
mendengarnya.

Kasihilah anak-anak yatim, niscaya dikasihi manusia anak-anak yatimmu.
Bertaubatlah kepada Allah dari dosa-dosamu. Angkatlah tangan-tanganmu
kasih; Dia menjawab mereka ketika mereka menyeru-Nya, menyambut mereka
ketika mereka memanggil-Nya dan mengabulkan doa mereka ketika mereka
berdoa kepada-Nya. Wahai manusia! Sesungguhnya diri-dirimu tergadai
karena amal-amalmu, maka bebaskanlah dengan istighfar.

Punggung-punggungmu berat karena beban (dosa) mu, maka ringankanlah
dengan memperpanjang sujudmu. Ketahuilah!

(Sahabat-sahabat lain bertanya: "Ya Rasulullah! Tidaklah
kami
semua mampu berbuat demikian."Rasulullah meneruskan: "Jagalah dirimu

bagimu.

Syaitan-syaitan terbelenggu, maka mintalah agar ia tak lagi pernah
menguasaimu. Amirul mukminin k.w. berkata: "Aku berdiri dan berkata:
"Ya
Rasulullah!

berpuasa tanpa sedikitpun berkurang. "Para sahabat berkata, "Ya
Rasulullah, tidaklah semua kami memiliki makanan berbuka puasa untuk
orang lain yang berpuasa. Maka bersabdalah Rasulullah s.a.w., "Allah

(HR. Ibnu Huzaimah).

Gotta Love Old Men

Overheard at Chadstone the other day by a customer eating at the food
Court and he noticed an old man watching a teenager sitting next to
him. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red,
orange, and blue.

The old man kept staring at him. The teenager would look and find the
old man staring every time. When the teenager had enough, he
sarcastically asked, 'What's the matter old man, never done anything
wild in your life?'

The old man did not bat an eye in his response, 'Got drunk once and had
sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son.'

And yet another footbal season...!

As far as the title is concerned, I go for Chelsea - although not with a huge amount of conviction and not in a way that would tempt me to risk the mortgage on it.

I just feel they will be there, regardless of anything that happens. Malouda will be a great asset to Chelsea and no doubt will deliver what people expect from him. Watched the last world cup and truly impressed with him and of course Zizou...!!

They pushed United all the way last season, despite the fact that injuries hit them and United had an unbelievable campaign.

United look very strong after their summer transfer business but it is very hard to replicate the sort of brilliant season they had last time out.

So Chelsea for me - but you could almost decide it on the toss of a coin.

Yonex Armortec Reviews

AT900 P (4U):
This racket has a very powerful smash but only when the shuttle hits the sweet-spot correctly, which incidentally I found to be quite small in size compared to other Yonex rackets. The shaft is noticeably stiffer than the other Armortec models and I also found it moved slower through the air than the other Armortec rackets. It was also quite difficult to control despite the power being there if used properly. Head-heavy balance but not overly so. Long handle – mainly for doubles play – personally not a fan of a long handle.

Overall Ratings: (1-10)
Power: 10
Control: 7
Maneuverability: 6
Defence: 7
Weight: Feels relatively light despite its head-heavy balance.

AT900T (4U):
This racket is very fast with a good smash. However, I found it to be the most head-heavy of all the Yonex rackets, probably due to the Elastic Ti being loaded into the top of the head. Due to this I found it to be a little cumbersome to control and move (seemingly the opposite of what Yonex markets the racket as). Defence was very good though due to the fast racket speed. Again – long handle, and for me this is a waste of a good long shaft!

Overall Ratings:
Power: 9
Control: 6
Maneuverability: 6
Defence: 9
Weight: Feels quite heavy due to its extreme head-heaviness, despite its light frame.

AT800 OF (4U):
The most noticeable thing about this racket is the shaft stiffness – phew! ULTRA stiff in my opinion. Smashing with this racket is very good but it’s not very manoeuvrable. Defence is rather difficult although driving and clearing are easy. This is probably the ultimate attacking racket, sacrificing control in the process. Again – the long handle.

Overall Ratings:
Power: 10
Control: 6
Maneuverability: 5
Defence: 5
Weight: Feels light but not too whippy due to the ultra stiff shaft.

AT800 DF (4U):
This racket is very manoeuvrable and also packs a great deal of power due to its aerodynamic frame. The shaft is relatively flexible for an Armortec and its defence was good. Again though I though the control of this racket could have been better. The long handle really annoyed me with this racket as I felt that if the shaft had been made longer, it could have been even more powerful! Good racket though all the same.

Overall Ratings:
Power: 9
Control: 7
Maneuverability: 9
Defence: 9
Weight: Feels light and actually quite even balanced, even though it is head-heavy.

AT700 4U):
In my opinion this is the best racket I have played with. For me it has the perfect balance of control, power and manoeuvrability. Its smashing power is immense and control is great too. I find it very easy to defend with, despite its head-heavy balance and how other people have said it’s difficult to move. It has a long shaft and short handle – designed more the singles player – but for an attacking doubles player this is also a great combination.

Overall Ratings:
Power: 10
Control: 9
Maneuverability: 8
Defence: 8
Weight: Feels noticeably head-heavy but relatively light overall.

Badminton Central Guide to choosing Badminton Equipment

I have wanted to write a guide on what equipment badminton should focus on. By nature, badminton requires the player to have a few pieces of equipment to engage in the sports, items such as a racket and a shuttlecock are a must for a badminton player. However, often I see many player places the wrong focus on how they spend their money on equipment. A smart badminton player will spend money effectively to maximize their badminton playing experience.

However, before I start, I would like to point out that no badminton equipment can replace proper badminton skills. If you think you can spend US$200 on a racket and you can instantly play better, you are 105% wrong. A good set of equipment can only bring out the potential of a player with good skills. No equipment can fix your bad skills. Instead, I recommend you spend your money on some good coaching lessons. It will make much more difference in your badminton game than a shiny new racket.

I chose to list the equipment in decreasing order of important, in other words, I reckon that the badminton shoes is the most important equipment that a badminton player has, while their clothing is the least important.

Shoes

Contrary to popular belief, a good set of badminton shoes are the most important piece of equipment a badminton player can have. Badminton players move around the badminton court at an amazing pace, dashes and changes directions on every stroke of the rally, twisting and turning and lunging. All these movements are supported and made possible by the biggest unsung hero, the badminton shoes.

Badminton shoes are designed for badminton movements; a thin but well supported sole with good lateral support keep the player’s feet close to the ground, this allows for fast and ankle bending directional changes with lower chance of injury; light weight for faster feet movement; surface hugging gummy soles to grip the indoor surface without slipping.

The amount of torture we subject our lower body to can clearly be seen in people’s badminton shoes. A good pair of badminton shoes used by a decent player sometimes last only 3-6 months. At the end of its short life, you will find soles that are worn to the inner support, insoles that are worn through, strong upper leather that gave up and split due to the immense force exerted at it.

Pick your badminton shoes with care, make sure you choose the pair that fits the shape of your feet and thus the most comfortable.

And whatever you do, do not wear running shoes or any other thick soled shoes. They keep your feet too high up in the ground and all it will take is one deep lunge to have your ankle sprained. From then on, you will be in excruciating pain for days and the injury will affect your badminton game for years to come.

Good badminton shoes brands include Asics, Hi-Tec, Mizuno, and Yonex. Other smaller brands are starting to catching up as well.

String

The number two unsung hero of the badminton equipment is the badminton string. Afterall, it is the string that is in contact with the shuttle on every stroke. How the string interacts with the shuttle is crucial to the feel of each stroke. Depending on your skill level and the style of your game, you should pick a string and tension that is suitable for your game. String manufacturers usually have ratings of different string characteristics at the back of the string package. Pick the items that are most important for your game.

String tension affects the playability of the string as much as the string itself. The general rule of thumb is that the harder you can hit, the tighter your tension can be. A higher tension rewards a hard hitting while robs power from a light hitter. On the opposite end, a lower tensioned string helps light hitter with a better timed trampoline effect.

There is always the temptation to go higher in tension, but this is a case of bigger is not always better. Higher tension does not give you more power as mentioned above, beginners should always start with lower tension of around 20lbs, adjust it to 22-23lbs when you progress to intermediate and only go up to 25+lbs if you are gain more power in your technique. Using the inappropriate high tension will make the racket unresponsive, decreased power, and will easily cause injury.

Good brands for badminton strings are: Ashaway, Gosen, Mizuno, Yonex.

Recommended tensions: beginners: 19-20lbs . intermediate players: 21-24lbs. advance players: 25+ lbs.

Grip

The number three unsung hero of badminton equipment is the badminton grip. Similar to the string being the interface to the shuttle, the grip is the interface to the badminton player’s finger and hand. The game of badminton comprises of many very delicate movements and fine control from the player’s finger and wrist. A proper grip ensure that there is proper actuation and feedback to and from the racket.

Three major factors affects the characteristics of the grip: type, size and tackiness.

Badminton grips falls into two different type, towel and synthetic. The choice of which are personal preference. Towel grip are softer, provides good sweat absorption, but at the same time, is more prone to germ accumulation and needs to be changed often. Synthetic grips are less messy and less prone to accumulation of germs, however, they are not as good as towel grips when it comes to sweat absorption.

The proper grip size to use depends greatly on the player. Obviously a player with larger hands will prefer a larger grip and vice versa. It is often tempting to use a large grip, a large grip gives the false feeling that the racket is lighter and more maneuverable. However, one must again understand that badminton is comprised of subtle, agile and delicate movements in the fingers and wrist, a smaller (but not too small) grip will allow for higher agility and maneuverability of the racket.

Racket

Often times badminton players give the racket the most emphasis. If you go into badmintoncentral.com and you will find that most of the discussion centers on the racket. While the racket is certainly an important equipment, the importance of which is often overrated, and that is the reason why I put the Racket almost next to last in our recommendation list.

The badminton racket is the middleman when transferring force from the player to the shuttle, sitting right between the grip and the string. A badminton racket can be categorized by a few characteristics: shape, stiffness, weight, balance.

Virtually all badminton rackets are made of carbon fiber or graphite. Some manufacturers choose to put in extra ingredients into the racket material like titanium or recently nanocarbon. I want to emphasis that they are only addictives, the 99% of the racket is still graphite and the extra benefits of the additives are very marginal.

Badminton rackets comes in two major head shapes: Isometric/square and Oval. Oval is the traditional racket shape, it is a slightly bottom heavy oval, almost the shape of an egg. Oval rackets in general have a small but more concentrated sweet spot. Oval fans like the concentration of power around the sweetspot of the racket. The shape is the Isometric or square which became more popular after the early 1990’s. The Isometric head has a wider and more squared top half of the racket head. The advantage of the isometric is an enlarged sweetspot which give off-centered hit a better response.

The effective stiffness of a badminton racket is similar to the effective of string tension. So I will refer you back to that section. A stiffer racket has the similar effect as a higher tensioned string, while a flexible racket is similar to the lower tension string.

Rackets comes in different weights. Normally the racket alone weighs between 80-95g. Different manufacturers have different rating system, the most popular of which is Yonex’s U system, U = 95-100g, 2U = 90-94g, 3U = 85-89g, 4U = 80-84g. a racket’s weight determines how fast one can swing a racket, the lighter a racket, the faster one can swing it with the same force. In general, a lighter racket is more maneuverable than a heavy one. However, before everybody goes out and buy the lightest racket, I also want to point out that lighter isn’t always better. A light racket is less stable than a heavier racket, more force is necessary to keep its path, furthermore, a heavier racket has a larger momentum and thus more effective in transferring its speed and power to the shuttle.

The final racket characteristic is the balance of the racket. Head balanced racket is becoming more popular recently. Head balanced rackets have more mass near the head of the racket. A head balanced racket is more stable and have higher angular momentum when swung. On the contrary, a even balanced racket is more maneuverable.

As you can see, none of the different properties of the above characteristics are strictly better than other. Some players prefers slightly heavier rackets, some prefer slightly lighter, some like even balanced, some like head balanced. What I want to point out is that ultimately, it is a person’s skill level and style that determines what racket is suitable, go try them out if you can to see what fits.

Clothing

Badminton clothing is quite simple to choose. Aside from one personal fashion preference, badminton clothing is better kept light and unrestrictive. Shirts needs to be slightly loose and comfortable to allow for arm and body movements. Badminton is a game of sweat, very often we see a badminton player walks out of the court like he just came out of a shower. As it is always uncomfortable to have sweat stuck to one’s skin, sweat absorption and dissipation is thus important. There are many fancy sweat-wicking clothing out there, but from my personal experience, a good cotton t-shirt works well in most situation. If one gets really wet during a game, they are cheap enough so you can have a few spares ones to change into.

Shorts are the preference for most badminton players. Again, choose something that is light and not restrictive to movement, jumps and lunges are done often in badminton.

Again, clothing is mostly personal fashion preference, as long as the clothing allows for the extreme movements in badminton, it is usually quite ok.

I have mentioned it once and I will do it again here, while equipment is essential in badminton, the most important factor in badminton is still one’s badminton skills. Equipment will only have marginal effect on one’s game.

Mobile Phone Rubbish

Basic Cell Phone Acronyms You Need to Know

Wed May 2, 2007 12:25PM EDT

See Comments (24)

Confused by the alphabet soup of cell phone acronyms? I don't blame you. Here's a cheat sheet that'll help you navigate the waters while your shopping for your next phone—or trying to get the most out of the handset you've got.
Most of the confusion arises when it comes to the various types of cell phone networks. For example, when I ask my aunts and uncles which networks their phones work on, they'll usually tell me their carrier instead of whether they're using GSM or CDMA—and frankly, before I started writing about cell phones for a living, I didn't know the difference, either. So first, let's start with a quick overview of the two main standard for cell networks:

* GSM: Short for Global System for Mobile Communications, GSM is the most widespread standard for cell phones networks in the world. If you're a jetsetter who likes keeping in touch during your far-flung travels, you should go with a GSM-enabled phone, and here in the U.S., AT&T and T-Mobile are both GSM carriers. Besides the technical differences between CDMA and GSM networks (I'll spare you the details), the main distinction of a GSM phone is that it comes with a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card—a little plastic chip that, as its name implies, identifies your phone on the GSM network. If you take the SIM card out of your GSM phone and put it into another GSM handset, you'll be able to place and receive calls on the second phone using your own cell phone number. GSM phones are also capable of handling six-way conference calls.
* CDMA: Short for Code Division Multiple Access, CDMA networks are much more prevalent in the U.S. than they are abroad, and while CDMA boasts many of the same features as GSM networks (including caller ID, call waiting, and text messaging), there are some key differences—namely, CDMA phones don't use SIM cards. Instead, your phone's identity and number are programmed into the handset by your carrier, and you can't easily switch numbers on CDMA phones as you can with SIM-equipped GSM phones. Also, CDMA phones can only handle three-way conference calls, versus six-way calls on GSM networks. Major CDMA carriers in the U.S. include Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and regional operator Alltel.

OK, so you've got your two main flavors of networks, but now I'm going to stir another variable into the mix: 3G. Here's the deal: GSM and CDMA are both considered second-generation, or 2G, networks (the first generation being AMPS, an analog network used mainly back in the 1980s). Unlike the old voice-only AMPS networks, digital GSM and CDMA networks can handle both voice and data calls, which means you can send text messages, surf the Web and get caller ID info. But data flows slowly over GSM and CDMA—think dial-up, only slower. Streaming video and music? Forget it.

That's where 3G, or third-generation networks, come in. These so-called 3G systems allow data to flow at speeds you'd expect from a home DSL modem or better—and at those speeds, you get features like streaming video and full-track music downloads. The main types of 3G networks include:

* EV-DO: An add-on for CDMA networks, EV-DO (or Evolution-Data Optimized) delivers data speeds between 144Kbps to 2Mbps to CDMA cell phones, perfect for streaming video and music. Sprint offers EV-DO access through its Power Vision phones (which are typically a little pricier than standard models); on Verizon Wireless, look for the "V Cast" label.
* UMTS and HSDPA: Both UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) and HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) are upgrades to GSM networks, and like EV-DO, they provide DSL and cable-like data speed. The only difference between UMTS and HSDPA (besides the technical nitty-gritty, of course) is that HSDPA is even faster than UMTS; for that reason, HSDPA networks are often called 3.5G rather than just 3G. In the U.S., only AT&T offers UMTS and HSDPA networks. (T-Mobile is busy working on its own HSDPA network, which should begin going online by the end of the year.)

Somewhere between 3G and 2G lies, naturally enough, 2.5G networks, which give you data speeds that are slightly faster than dial-up—no good for streaming video, but fine for messaging or mobile Web browsing. These networks include:

* 1xRTT: A variant of the CDMA standard, 1xRTT (or "1 times Radio Transmission Technology") gives you data speeds between 30Kbps and 90Kbps, a bit better than your typical 56Kbps dial-up modem. Most of the non-3G phones on Sprint and Verizon have 1xRTT capabilities.
* GPRS and EDGE: The 2.5G flavors of GSM networks, GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) also give you data in the 30Kbps to 90Kbps range, with EDGE running slightly faster than GPRS. Again, most of the non-3G phones on AT&T offer either GPRS or EDGE, while T-Mobile—which has yet to launch a 3G network—only does GPRS and EDGE.

Whew! That's a lot of terminology, I know—and believe it or not, I've barely scratched the surface. I'll tackle more wireless acronyms in future posts; in the meantime, if you're curious about the technical details of the various cell networks, I'd suggest combing through Wikipedia, or check out Phonescoop's exhaustive glossary.

Pastor's Donkey

Pastor's Donkey

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.

The local paper read: PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.

The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.

The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the Plains where it could run wild.

The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE

The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is. Being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery.and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life.Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and you'll be a lot happier and live longer.

Have a nice day!
